Had a trip of a lifetime up in Alaska, and Hailey at Whiskey point made me feel right at home, had an amazing view, with nice clean and hot showers which are few and far between up in AK! Thank you so much Hailey for being such an amazing host. Cant wait to come and see you all again!

The campground looks like a great place but the cabin we stayed in is seriously in need of an upgrade. The wooden access is rotting , the shower was leaking and the mat was wet, the bed was the most uncomfortable I've slept in since my youth. When we arrived, late September, on a family visit to the area, the cabin was cold and damp. Then we got locked out, as we had been given the wrong key. That can happen I suppose but when we came back at 9.10pm we couldn't get in and it took 3 attempts and 20 minutes to contact the owners until we finally got back into the cabin. The cabin, while quaint, is very small and there is no basin in the bathroom and no kitchen table, just a coffee table, as there is no room for for one. Sloppily installed black plastic is used for black out curtains . The shortfalls don't make up for that spectacular view, in any way. HayLee kindly let us check out early and we moved to self contained cottages in Anchor Point. Our new cabin, that was the same price, was vastly superior in every way e.g. comfort, warmth, cleanliness, facilities, the space was 4 times the size and it was beautifully finished. It may not have the view but if its raining nor does Whiskey Point. The price being charged is just too high for what you get at Whiskey Point. Rooms: The cabin is one room and very small. The bed is antique iron frame with rust. It appears it hasn't been sealed because the rust comes off. The bathroom has no basin. You have to use the kitchen sink which is in the main room. Safety: The access ramp is rotting. The only electric heater, plus toaster and coffee pot are all plugged into one cheap extension cord. If all were used at the same time it would blow a circuit or worse.

My favorite place to stay on the peninsula! Helpful owners and family friendly. You can catch fish from the beach or nearby rivers without a boat or tons of gear.
