        Very friendly and warm staff, clean restrooms, fire pits, picnic tables, dog park, gas station 50 feet away for all your needs. Definitely recommended! Nearby activities: Not much nearby except some scenic views, and of course the famous Homer spit. This campground is probably better than any on the spit when you factor in the wind. This campground was not windy, but if you stay on the spit, it'll likely be more windy than you think. Stay here instead. Trust me.

        What happened, KOA? You used to give discounts to seniors, Vets, etcetera. Now, only if you are active duty military? Our campsite had litter, cigarette butts, bottle caps, paper.

        Could not get a hold of anyone for after hours check-in, and type of site reserved not available on arrival. Poor customer service!

      Welcome to the Homer / Baycrest KOA! The end of the road is the beginning of a great Alaskan adventure at this new KOA, perched on the edge of Alaska's magnificent Kenai Peninsula. The campground provides a peaceful retreat in a truly remarkable setting. Gaze out across Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet, reveling in views of snow-dusted mountains, active volcanoes, fishing boats, surfacing whales and other wildlife. Terrific hiking trails lie just across the road. Downtown Homer is filled with great restaurants, local art galleries and museums. Visit the Homer Spit for more gift shops, local seafood and many activities, such as fishing, kayaking, four-wheeling and bear viewing. Take a ferry to the coastal communities of Halibut Cove, Seldovia and Kodiak. Your hosts: Wayne & Penny Eyre.
