Sunshine House Bed and Breakfast

Marsha and Mike have such a passion for Alaska and their home, and we were lucky and honored to stay with them!!! We were there 4 nights at the end of August, and enjoyed every minute! Their homemade breakfasts are legendary!!! They were so helpful with local information and hidden gems to visit, and their location can't be beat, very walkable to downtown and the harbor front. Marsha even washed our smelly fishing clothes for us, that was after having our breakfast ready at 5:00 a.m., and packing a lunch for us to take!!! You will not find better hosts anywhere!!!

Our stay at Sunshine House could not have been any nicer. The room was comfortable and clean. Marsha is an amazing host and we instantly felt welcome and at home. The breakfasts were delicious and we didn't think about food again until almost dinner time. I also appreciated Marsha's flexibility when I needed to change the reservation mid stay to include a second guest. The location is perfect as well and was within walking distance to everything. I look forward to returning again soon.

The best stay on our Alaska vacation. Warm welcome. family atmosphere. Mike and Marsha (and dog Butch) were so accommodating, loving and helpful with everything. Best breakfast you can imagine

Mike & Marsha are the best. We were late getting there - that was our fault. Mike/Marsha stayed up to check us in when we arrived. Made us feel very welcome - just like home. Our room & bathroom was clean. Bed was comfy. Mike cooked breakfast for us. He cooked pancakes omelets. He made this chicken sausage with panko breadcrumbs delicious . Smoked salmon was awesome . We stayed 2 nights. Definitely stay there again. Thanks

Mike and Marsha are the best hosts!! They were so kind and lovely to get to know during our 5 day stay. They made the most wonderful breakfasts that we would look forward to every morning that would fill us up until dinner. Their home is so cozy and welcoming and they would give awesome recommendations for things to do around Seward. Extra bonus, Mike married my husband and I along the shore just minutes away from their home! It was the perfect way to start our trip! I could go on and on about how great they are. We will for sure be visiting again in the future with friends!
