Klondike Electric Bicycles

My family and I took the Skagway E-bike tour today and it was a wonderful experience. The tour guides were friendly and fun. The equipment was top notch. And the scenery was amazing. It was cold and rainy and our tour guide provided hand warmers that helped immensely. Everyone was so friendly, especially Willow and Woody, the store retrievers. Thank you for a great time!

Never ridden an electric bike before but I can say I have, in Alaska. I thought this would be a guided tour, but turns out we just rent the bikes and do whatever we want. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in setting up a trip for us through some very beautiful country side with Mountain Views and providing safety and how-to. We booked this as part of Sail and Trails tour through Alaska Shore Excursions. The most convenient part was when we got to the sail part of our tour, we chained the bikes there and turned in the key to our sailboat captain.

Fantastic experience! We couldnt have asked for better service. The charcuterie boxes are a must when driving into the Yukon for an impromptu picnic. Oh, and their dogs just make the place that much better :) Thank you!

From start to finish Klondike Electric Bikes was a stellar experience. I reserved the electric Mustang a few months before our cruise and was impressed with the communication and professionalism of Nicole and her staff. We provided our driving info before the actual pickup and everything was ready. We were able to buy our tickets to the Yukon suspension bridge through Klondike which saved a ton of time. When we arrived, we got our tickets to the bridge, the car was spotless, fully charged, and ready to go. They provide binoculars and a literal mile by mile guide for driving to Emerald Lake. We knew exactly where to pull off, what we were looking at and what to expect at each bend in the road. The tips and tricks for good photo spots and what to expect at the border crossings (back and forth) were spot on. If you are looking for an experience at your own pace with first hand knowledge then you can't go wrong rending from Klondike Electric Bikes. *BONUS* Their office dogs are cute as can be and are excited to see you when you walk in!

If you are looking to do a bit more than just browse the shops in Skayway then consider hiring an e-Bike from Klondike Bikes. We rode out to the cemetery and Nakhu Bay, which is the northern most tip of the Inside Passage, and very stunning on a sunny still morning. The bikes are powerful and easy to ride and being both powered by pedal assist AND a throttle, they are a lot of fun. There is a bit of a hill down to Nakhu Bay so we were a bit concerned about riding back up but we simply used the throttle and made the climb easily, smiling all the way. One piece of advice is to dress warmly and take some gloves because the bikes do get along at a good speed so the wind can be chilly. If you hire a bike first thing in the morning you will still have plenty of time to browse the shops and do the train trip in the afternoon of you wish.
