This is our favorite getaway place. Hosts are wonderful, the cabins are cozy and well equipped with necessities and the wildlife and birds couldn't be any better!!! This week, it was a bear walking by the cabin. To go to sleep with the sound of a small stream running by is just heavenly. The peace and rest gathered at this location is worth everything:) We attend at least twice a year. Nearby activities: Hiking and for nature loving people, it is great!! Noteworthy details: The unique woodwork in the cabins is outstanding!

My husband and I stayed in Madera Kubo for 1 night during the spring migration and we loved it. We were greeted by Cora (owner) and instantly felt at home. We stayed in the A-frame cabin and it was so cozy inside. The cabin was located above the gift shop and had bird feeders located all around. On our first day, we saw the rare Blue-throated Mountain-gem outside the gift shop making its territory very clear. If you are an avid-birder, this is the spot for you. It is located within minutes of the Madera Canyon hiking trails where youll see many rare and familiar birds. My husband and I will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful place to enjoy nature. Observing the behavior of wild turkeys was unique The mountain stream babbles along, accompanied by various bird songs. I could spend a long time there
