Blue Cross Veterinary Clinic LTD

I had to find a new vet during covid quarantine because my regular moved back to Canada. Now, 4 yrs later I have found too many major holes in their care and flaws in their system. During to their ongoing negligence and incompetence I am going to look for a new vet hospital. They are terrible with communication, follow through and follow up, wirh one exception, Dr Dutton is excellent. A pet parent should not have to CALL THEM after waiting to get promised cardiologist results to be told the vet left early and won't be back for 4 days, or for a prescription question to take 10 days to be answered and/or to be filled wrong. I am looking for a new vet hospital. They do secret exams in back and pets return completely distressed. They upgrade every treatment without discussing increased cost and then expect payment without you knowing it was not the treatment or vaccine you were advised on initially. They do not perform the tests you want but want others that are not helpful. The doctors do not communicate with each other at all which is ridiculous, especially when you cannot get in to see the same vet twice for a follow up. I would not recommend them.

Our family has been going to this vet clinic since I was young, so of course when I got my own pups as I started my own family I wanted to bring them here. The front office is very helpful and caring for my dogs it's honestly like leaving them with family. Dr Peters is the absolute best in the valley. If you are looking for an all around vet clinic, boarding and grooming this is the place for you. Some small examples of what they have helped my dogs with over 2 short years. My Bernese mountain dog has always had a sensitive stomach and soft stool since he was young pup. I tried every food you can think of. Turns out all he needed was some prescription dog food which isn't cheap compared to other dog food but keep in mind be is a very big dog so if you have a smaller dog it's only like 20 bucks more a month. Overall his eating issues disappeared within a couple days, and his stool became solid and less frequent. My other dog beans is a pug and he also had food issues but his stool was solid so it was very odd. I took him in and they found out he had been eating a ton of rocks from the yard. They prescribed him some meds to try and pass the rocks before surgery and luckily that worked. I also remodeled the yard to prevent him from rock access. I also ended up switching him to the prescription dog food as he was deficient in some of his levels which led to the rock eating. Overall I love the approach they take with my pups to see if there is always a easier path to help them before jumping straight into something that hits the wallet. Again if you are trying to find a vet clinic I highly recommend this spot and Dr. Peters!
