Horseshoe Bend Animal Control

So thankful for this organization. We took in a stray cat, fed her, and she had 7 kittens. After finding homes for all the kittens we knew we needed to get her spayed. Friends of HBA were so kind and helpful in providing affordable options to get our rescue cat spayed. They were quick to return calls and provide helpful info. Very thankful for them and all they do.

Horseshoe Bend has a really good Animal Control Office in Kelly Smith. Kelly does her job, and she really cares about the animals. She is extremely professional and methodical in her work. She does everything she can to help the animals get adopted. Horseshoe Bend is very lucky to have her, she is the best Animal Control Officer I have met to date!

The city's animal control officer is EXTREMELY compassionate...regarding the animals. Kind, experienced, and LOVES her job. It shows. HSB is very lucky to have her. The only thing I can say about this "business" that isn't great-would be the resources and volunteers lacking. We're one of the places who HAVE an animal control/pound, but help could come in the form of volunteerism, monetary donations, food/supply drop-offs, etc. Maybe one of the most important being spaying or neutering your pets. THAT would be a GREAT form of animal control. We need make the above priority for our town, otherwise we'll end up losing it. Not all towns/cities/counties HAVE help with their stray animal population, and the results of this are heartbreaking.
