David Dellis, your saw is the reason we charge a check in fee. people don't pickup junk saws that aren't worth repairing and I'm just out time and sometimes parts we have already installed (i.e. fuel lines, filters )it's not worth taking the parts back out. it was worth taking the compression release plug back out of yours. never in 30 years have i seen a repair job missing the compression release, but could happen again .i'll throw it in with my specialty tools.we spent time checking out your saw, that you seem to know nothing about its problems. you stated (its my dads and i don"t know whats wrong with it!) it would have saved you money had you told me it had been worked on, parts where missing. i would have saved you $53.75and likely told you i didn't want to work on it. seeing this review, you probably would have not liked that either, and left us a bad review because we wouldn't work on your saw. sometime this business is a double edged sword. but i have to let you make your decisions. we try to cull anything that is that much of a problem. so we don't end up here. #1 missing compression release $35.00 yes, i took it out.did you want to pay for that? i think you wouldn't #2 starter rope hung up and had to be replaced the rope did you pay extra for that? no, but it was in the estimate if you had ok'd the next step in the repair process. 23 year old saw that has good compression and will hit on spray. needs fuel lines, filter, and carburetor. not to say the will 100 percent fix the saw, because someone was working on that saw before me. i.e. missing parts, carburetor adjusting screws backed out 3 turns tells me someone was trying to fix a problem before they let it sit. i suspect on a saw that old, you could have an air leak. at the crank seals, but i would not know that until it ran or i tore the saw farther down to test vacuum and pressure on the crankcase, (pull clutch, starter, flywheel) and that i would charge another 1/2 hour for. if those seals leaked it surly would have NOT been cost effective to repair this saw.shown are the estimate you where given. $215.00 that is less the $53.75 you paid as a check in fee for us to estimate condition of your saw. in my opinion your saw with the amount of repair and unforeseen problems was probably not worth repairing. repair would likely cost more that the saw cost new.you did get what you paid for and more. if i had not gotten $53.75 and gave you that estimate. very likely you would have left the saw to never return anyway. people have done that countless times in the past. we learned.

Just guessing, your the lady that wanted to overload our trailer with logs. And Jon politely said, we won’t rent our trailer for that. Sorry you took that as rude!
