Central Montessori School

Amazing school. We love all of the teachers and the curriculum that is used - our daughter asks about going to school every day! He comes home with the most fun projects. They also offer enrichment programs that are fantastic - awesome way for kids to get exposed to new things that may be of interest without running all over the place every weekend.

I can't say enough good things about CMS! My 2.5 year old daughter has attended two other preschools in the past, neither of which compared to the experience we've had here! The staff has gone above and beyond to keep the kids healthy during these strange COVID times, all while being there to support us parents who need childcare and don't have the option of keeping them home full time. I was very nervous to put her back in school, but she is truly thriving and I feel confident that the teachers and staff at CMS are doing everything in their power to do what's best for the children. I'm so happy we've found our preschool "home" and I will not hesitate to enroll our second child as well when he's old enough!

This is the absolute best school you could EVER send your kids to, no matter where you are in San Diego. The individual attention and love they demonstrate to every kid and family is incomparable to any school in San Diego. Also, during these tough times of Covid-19, they are taking the strictest of measures to insure safety to all children and families. They are going above and beyond with strict hand washing, temperature checks, and teacher face masks. Not only is it the safest place for my child, it is the best place for my daughter to emotionally, socially, and educationally develop. I would highly recommend this school above any other!

We tell everyone we know how great CMS has been for her. Our daughter's growth is truly a reflection of all the work they put in.I remember when she first started she was so very shy, just beginning to know her letters and still learning to cope with emotions. We have so many stories of lessons she's brought home, many of kindness and compassion. It's been a joy to hear their lessons through her voice. She's taught us shapes that we didn't know. And regularly surprises us with facts she's gathered somewhere. Looking at her today! Reading chapter books to US at bedtime; doing multiplication; reciting Flora and fauna facts; helping out at home and taking care of herself and her friends.We could not have found a better experience for her these past years. I can't wait for for her brother to have his turn!

I would absolutely recommend Central Montessori to friends and family in the area. My kids spent the last 1.5 years there and they had fun, learned so much (and their approach made them also love learning), made great friends, and I felt like the staff and owners truly cared about the happiness and well being of the children.Considering it's location (in a mall next to homegoods), I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought except that another mom highly recommended it. Don't let the location deter you, behind the small entrance is a large facility with many well put together classrooms and playgrounds in the back. Our teacher, Ms. Miriam continually went above and beyond, taking care to understand each child and figure out how interact with them each individually while also encouraging them to cultivate friendships and kindness with each other. They were always having fun learning new things but also being creative and exploring. Overall we were so happy! They had great protocols during Covid and my son genuinely wants to go back and visit after his day at Kindergarten just to say hi. Thank you Mrs. Ban, Mr, Jay and Ms. Miriam for everything!
