Autumn Oaks Apartments

I've lived here many years and was moderately satisfied with the apartment complex until the storms the last few years. One of the appealing things about this complex is the trees (because their other amenities are barely passable). They provide much needed shade and homes for local wildlife. However, because the management doesn't properly maintain the trees (trimming branches that are overgrown), the winds cause these branches to come down and cause damage. The managements response to this was to cut down the whole tree rather than trim and maintain them and not replant the trees. Now, there is no shade for us in the California summer to keep our apartment cool. Some rooms get to 90 degrees even with the air conditioner on and blackout shades drawn. It's disappointing and disgusting.

After living here for a year, rent has gone up 30%, empty apartments gone up by 20%. So water/garbage went up. A lot of riff raft walking around all hours of day/night (Mgt told me, well crime rate is up all over Roseville (which it isn't, my SIL is Sherriff and states Roseville is better than any year he has been on force) My apartment is listed for almost $200 cheaper than I am now paying. No incentive to stay if they are going to keep raising rent. What used to cost $800/month is now $1800/month plus another $150 for water/garbage. There are a lot of brand new beautiful apartments near by that come with a garage, so yes I can see them charging high rates, but for a one bedroom older apartment with no garage and assigned parking is two apartments complexes over, no where near my apartment. For an older person on fixed income it is heart breaking. Now I know how people become homeless. I wish management would allow you to sign a longer lease, NOT raise your rent by $200 a month and value your tenants. Instead manager kept telling me "Well my rent went up too! Crime rate is getting worst! Even though there are empty parking spots in front of your place you can't change spots" Very rude, and they are going through maintenance crew like crazy lately. Everyone here has become very sad.

My car were burglarize during the 1st month of our stay, now we are on our 3rd month, all the rims and tires of my car were stolen.
