Kimpton Hotel Enso

I would never stay at the Kimpton Enso again to be honest. Ive stayed at Kimptons before and have been very happy. However not the case for the Esso in SF. The pictures were very misleading. For starters if you look at the hotel on google maps the biggest photo is a beautiful rooftop pool. (VERY MISLEADING) as this sold me on staying there. Upon arriving the hotel felt very old and not modern as portrayed the photos. Almost as if it was an old hotel/apt that had been redone but not well. My room smelled very musky. There was also no hot water the evening I got back from a long day exploring the city. The hot water didn't get fixed until the next day. It was a 2/3 out of 10 experience especially because I booked 2 rooms for $1100 for 2 night. I will not be returning to this property.

I loved my room and on-site parking, although the parking was expensive. The location was perfect for the event I had to go to. Only complaint was that the lobby had very limited room and no restaurant or pub.

Friendly staff. It is located in the heart of Japan town. Rooms: The hotel rooms are simple but nice and clean with a comfy bed. Walkability: It's a nice area to walk around in, and there is an indoor mall with lots of different types of wares and food. Food & drinks: There is no food service at the hotel, but there is no shortage of great places to eat in the area.
