    Very good location Renovated rooms with good views (we had the 25th floor) One of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten at a holiday inn

    I was only able to provide 3 stars 1 for the cleanliness 2 for the location & 3 for the garage security. I wish I could have provided 5 stars but that wouldn't have been honest. After driving 2.5 hours for an event that evening on 3/30/24. The staff especially front the front desk did not start off great we checked it I booked through 3rd party for 2 guests with a double standard room. Arrived to a single bedded room of what they considered a Grandview. It was not! I called front desk to which the same young lady whom checked us in answered she was very argumentative & repetitive as if stating that the room I booked was not guaranteed I advised I of the emails that states different she claimed the room was upgraded from standard to Grandview I informed her again the room is not what I booked which was a standard double bed for 2 guests, not a single Grandview because we are 2 guests the view was irrelevant yet appreciated but there was some odd disconnect because we both kept going in a circle as if she was hoping to settle for what I didn't book even after I inquired about a resolution she finally stated there was a double bed Grandview available for an extra $10 which I believe should have been offered as a solution at the beginning of the conversation I advised her that is concerning because I didn't make the mistake but additional fee wasn't an issue yet she began another repetitive argument I've tone as she wanted me to decline the fee I'm unsure but the conversation was uneasy she finally advised us to come back to the front where she just placed the new cards on the counter as she was with a guest we went to our new room tried calling from the room phone& a cell phone for over 20 minutes no one answered we then had to go back down to the front desk to which there was a group of staff in a huddle to which ignored us for about 7 minutes we finally got acknowledged by the same staff members we inquired & voiced concerns about the neglect she stated they were very busy as a clear observation since initial check in they were not as busy as portrayed we proceed to request extra towels & comforters she assured us 15 minutes so proceeded to the garage to gather belongings, returned to our room waited 20 minutes attempted contacting the front desk to inquire an ETA on linen phone range for 10 minutes finally a gentleman answered whom stated that someone would be arriving soon we the advised him the we have already been advised of 15 mins & we took a 10 minute walk to the garage & returned to our room & waited an additional 20 minutes to call to which finally we received him answering after waiting 10 mins. He replied he would bring the items soon which took another 10 minutes. Not to mention I inquired about parking at check in to which the young lady stated that they do validate parking but for a $40 overnight fee which didn't make sense. So I inquired with the gentleman over the phone whom confirmed there's no parking validation. So again everything was great except the treatment by staff. Everything else was great. I hope future bookings are better! Rooms: Clean&quite Walkability: Near gas station & the regency ballroom Food & drinks: Fresh, quick bites from Cafe inside

    On the night we arrived at check in they required $200 deposit. I used all my credit cards (taping them) and the girl at the desk kept saying declined, declined, that's declined too... super frustrated I thought being from Canada I should inform the banks, so I had to make a roaming long distance call just to find out that for $200 I need to insert my card, so I did and it worked. I told the girl, in a very friendlymanner "next time if this happens to someone tell them they need to insert" so f... rudely she replied: it's your credit card SIR - not my responsibility! I mean who the f... would say something like that to someone who just flew for 6 hrs & is frustrated as hell and panicking about his credit card not working, who is just trying to be helpful for the next poor guy who might run into the same issue!???
