I called for an estimate and since I am not an expert, but familiar with pricing with other similar jobs, the man gave me an immediate estimate of $1800, which I originally thought it was outrages. We have had other plumbing challenges at our restaurant that costed us $600, therefore we were expecting something similar as it may simply require a snake to remove the clog. $1800 to remove a clog is an unacceptable estimate, especially since the problem was unknown. All I said was "That seems high. Do you have the details of why it's that high?" And instead of giving me a professional justification of his pricing, he rudely said "well, you can shop elsewhere if you think it's too high." I then replied back that it was unprofessional to respond as such. Long story short, I tried to keep it nice but this guy was clearly stressed out or whatever he justifies his poor attitude, but I ended the call saying he wasn't a good fit for us and hung up.
