I really hate to do this. But in the spirit of honesty here goes. They're really bad at being on time. Each time I had a visit I was shown to a room and the chiropractor came in 45 minutes late the first time and almost 15 minutes late the second time. I have Ehlers Danlos. It means I am very flexible and I can do things with my bones that most people just can't do. When I had my x-rays the girl gave poor instructions so they came out incorrect. I was standing up straightening my spine because she told me to stand up straight and she did not tell me to stand in a normal standing position. I did tell the chiropractor that the X-rays were wrong and he said that he didn't think I was standing up that straight on purpose because it wasn't likely. Since then I have gone to my regular clinician with his findings and they repeated his x-ray with clearer instructions and the curvature in my spine is absolutely normal when I am not stretching out my spine in an attempt to stand up straighter. They did agree with a couple of his other findings such as bone spurs on my spine and a bit of degeneration, which is common in my family and in the ED community. They are not bad people and they seem to really care, they just don't have enough experience with Ehlers Danlos to provide adequate care. It can actually be dangerous to adjust the spine of someone with ED if you aren't extremely familiar with it.
