    Highly DON'T recommend this place for your care. I have avoided seeing a doctor for many years, as my experience has not been great. I wished I had read some of the reviews before selecting the East OPTUM clinic site for my care. I concur with the previous reviews, after experienceing service first hand. The doctor I was seen by was outstanding. Penny at the front desk of Optum was extremely helpful and personable. The lady , no name given, at the front desk to Dr. waiting area was very kind and communicated actions well. The "technician" who took my initial information was extremely rude and failed to communicate anything. I tried to sympathetize with her and asked if she had had a busy day. I only received short answers to my engagement. I don't come from a medical background, so called back to inquire about the difference between first patient care and followup physical care. I was met with an irate attempt at an explanation. I tried to keep my composure on phone, but level of accusatory voice over phone that I did not understand the medical billing process was concerning. I will finish my follow up appointment, but will likely seek another place for my care, if I have to continue dealing with same individual. One individual should not influence the entire rating, but when that person is the first medical representative of office you meet, it sours the whole experience.

    The doctors here are amazing. However, the people who answer the phones are THE RUDEST people EVER. I have never had a singular semi-respectful person answer the phone here. As someone who worked in customer service a lot, I am ALWAYS respectful and overly nice. So I can assure there is no reason I should be receiving the amount of attitude these ladies have.

    I love all the doctors there. I have been here my whole life. I had a really bad experience today, Maria was incredibly rude. I understand people have bad days but every time I have encountered her she has been rude. I went in for a simple nurse visit, she told me to wait which I understood but her demeanor and tone was unacceptable. I asked the front desk ladies to reschedule and they were so welcoming and amazing. I never got her name but she was in training and had another nurse try to help me. Maria called the front desk and was yelling across the office to get me back to wait again, She was yelling at me to wait and to listen to her which I will not take any disrespect like that. I walked to internal medicine another nurse walked out to help me and Maria was yelling at the other nurse, I was very flustered and frustrated. I was physically upset walking back to the front desk. Maria called the front desk again and did not want me to leave or reschedule my appointment, her coworker had to calm her down which is highly unprofessional especially in front of the client.

    I have been going to the location on Barns for over 5 years. I used to see Sherry Turner Llyod and I never had issues until she left. Now I am dealing with someone I will not disclose name, but I have been on a prescription for over 5 years same dosage, and I will add it is Zoloft. I requested my refill on 02/06/2024, I called multiple times trying to figure out why I have not received my prescription. One week later I finally get a call back from the doctor's office saying that the doctor wants to see me before refill. REALLY!!! I have been having serious side effect from brain zaps and other because I have been forced into. This is applying, it is very dangerous to just stop someone's medication without warning or contact. I am in the search for a reliable doctor, not someone who lets you go a week or more without communication, even if you have been calling. This location has gone downhill!!
