The Pines at Southmoor

Our maintenance guys are pretty great. We've had a few issues pop up and they are always quick to respond, even when it's a small issue. I also appreciate when they clean the dog pens, especially Scott, and they are always very friendly when we see them about. Thank you all!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! First of all, the apartment that they show you in the tour is WAYYYY different than the unit you actually move into. The model unit is nice, but the unit i moved into was horrible. Layers of painted over counters and the shower was black from years of buildup i could barely even stand in it. And they wanna charge me for that :) These people will NOT send you your security deposit back, no matter how much you take care of the space and keep it clean. I probably left this apartment in way better shape than when i moved in. LMAO THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Also hearing gunshots weekly was just great. Having homeless people chill outside your door and people getting arrested really added to the charm. Do not let the semi-decent prices fool you. Even then, I was paying way too much for what a dump this place was. The maintenance people also STEAL from you when they enter your unit when youre not home. They stole my cameras and rummaged through my couch, cushions were all messed up when i got home. The leasing office ladies are rude, no customer service at all. If i could rate this place 0 stars i would.

I saw they had a 899 special going on do I reached out about it, was told they ran out and then when I went to the website the 899 special was gone. A couple days later I saw it again on their website and applied that same day for availability purposes. It specified you must move in within 7 days and did not say subject to availability which leads you to believe these are available and if not they have to make one be available by reducing the price of an existing unit. After submitting the application I reached out again to confirm and they told me If I wanted that unit I'd have to move in immediately, not within the 7 days that they had previously specified. I told them I could do the original arrangement they gave online and I could move in within 7 days. When they proceeded to say they had jusy given the last of these away. I tried to see if they could reduce the rent of another one even if it was only to 950. They said no really fast which leads me to believe they didn't check to see if this could be arranged. Guess that was too much work. They dont seem very motivated to get people in and the website and office are very misleading. I wouldn't waste your time or money applying here. If this is what intake is like you can only assume the actual managment is horrid. Update:They charged me 210 dlls to my account without consent as a "reversal claim" for the deposit on the application I canceled because of poor managment. (Back in january) Overdrafting my account. I have not applied tp any apartments since Januart it is now March. Why are they charging me without consent? This place needs to be reported and I did report them. I was assured I'd get my deposit back, that is their policy and now they're stealing my money.
