Did not feel safe here. Random sketchy people walking through the camp sites at all hours of the day and night, store is never open, grounds are unkept, never even saw an employee the entire stay. KOA should take the name away from them and they should be a standalone rv park. Dont know how this is a KOA.

Close to the national park and to downtown Montrose. The RV sites are big enough, the restrooms were warm and clean. I don't understand why the host chose to put us in one of the 5 spots along the main entrance to the campground when it was off season and 90% of the rest of the campground was open. We had to listen to all the traffic coming in and out the whole time we were there, some of which were definitely speeding. We could have easily been parked in a different spot away from the main thoroughfare.
