Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Freaking expensive!!

While visiting Connecticut I recently rented a car from Norwich Enterprise. When I picked up the vehicle it was a very large SUV, which was not what I had requested. I was willing to give it a try so I went ahead and took the rental. Once I drove it for a day I realized that it really is a larger vehicle than what I was needing so I called and arranged to pick up a smaller one. I literally had driven the car from the rental lot to the hotel and ran a couple of errands in town along the way. When I went to return the car to trade for the smaller vehicle, the staff member "Conner" noticed some damage on the roof of the car. There had been a windstorm a few days before I took the rental in the first place but otherwise it has been calm while I had the vehicle. The staff "Conner" essentially blamed me for the damage and even asked me to return it to a different location. He said that it was going straight to the shop. I have since learned that the car went right back out to another customer. I don't really know, but they may have chosen me to take the blame for the damage because I had the full coverage insurance on the vehicle. Actually, the fact that I have the insurance on the vehicle should have made it so I didn't have to hear about the damage. They accused me of damaging it but then assured me it would go to the shop and the insurance would cover it. I explained that I am literally a grandmother who is in town visiting her grandchildren and I had just driven it to the hotel and in town and back to drop it off, and there was no way that I had had any trees or anything land on the roof to cause a damage. They did not care to hear about it, but were rude about the way they handled the situation and acted like they did not want to deal with it. The bottom line is that I paid top dollar for this rental, purchase the most expensive Insurance thank goodness, and still was treated poorly at this place of business. I cannot recommend for anyone to patronize this branch of Enterprise car rental company.
