Bright Horizons at First Stamford Place

Outstanding. That is really the only word to describe our experience since joining Bright Horizons at Stamford Place. The great experience started when we first went for a tour. It was pre COVID, so we were able to visit the facilities in person and meet some of the staff. The head of the facility, Will, couldn't have been nicer and was very knowledgeable . We found comfort in how factual yet empathetic he was and rated this our top choice of facilities in the area. We were able to reserve a spot and then COVID hit. Throughout the entire time the facility was closed, staff stayed in contact and consistently updated us on their sanitizing protocols and plans to re-open. In addition, they also communicated how they were meeting or exceeding the state mandates required to reopen. This, coupled with the genuine care from the staff, made us perfectly comfortable starting immediately when the center was allowed to reopen. So, when they opened, we started Bright Horizons - he was our first, and only 7 months old. Needless to say we were a little nervous. It was tough watching our little guy cry while someone he was unfamiliar with carried him away (we weren't allowed in the center). BUT from the first day we were kept up to date almost by the hour with pictures and comments. We were able to watch him go from crying with fear to laughing in comfort with new friends and caretakers. The staff is clearly very experienced and know how to settle the children into their new surroundings easily and with care. The team at Stamford utilize the app very well and post frequent pictures so you can watch their activities and progress, and just make sure they are smiling. The detail from diaper changes, what he ate when, and how long the naps are make us feel like we are there with him, and can monitor any abnormalities to his normal activity. And, if we have a question or just want to say hi, we have a direct line to the classroom to talk to the teachers. We are never rushed on the phone or told to wait until someone is available - that all just adds to the comfort level we feel in the center. As COVID increased and there were more scares both in and out of the center. The leadership team at Bright Horizons always communicated transparently (even if the news was about positive tests) and assured us the classrooms were separated and if exposure occurred that it would only impact one "POD". They have been right on all accounts to date, and our son has remained at the facility daily. In addition to these protocols, updates and general feeling of safety, there are also weekly email updates and virtual calls for the parents to attend should they want to hear about anything new at the facility or ask any questions. Despite this virtual world, they make us feel like we are there with the class every single day. There are even opportunities to join the class to read a book virtually so the entire class can see - awesome. The curriculum is also fantastic. When they first told us about what they could teach a newborn, I was skeptical - how much would a 7 month old retain? Well, he signs when he is hungry and full and can communicate more than we'd ever thought possible before 1. He is exposed to so much music, so many books and just overall interaction that has been wonderful to his development. As a final thought - they treat everyone at their center like extended family. They want you involved and want to hear your point of view. They also consistently offer to make themselves available if you need help with absolutely anything. This is more than just a business and I would recommend this facility to anyone who would benefit from this care.

My son likes to attend the daycare. His care givers are friendly and experienced. Children are encauraged to learn in a very friendly environment.

My child started daycare here when she was 11mo old and we love it! Such a warm and safe place for my daughter. Teachers in infant room are so loving and caring. Every day she is so happy when we pull up to center.

We could not love Bright Horizons at First Stamford Place more. We have had our son in their care since he was an infant, and he is now loving his toddler class and teachers. Everyone makes you feel welcome and safe everyday, which is so important (especially during a pandemic). Our son cannot wait to get into his classroom every morning. The teachers are so wonderful and send the best updates on how your child's day is going. It is certainly daunting leaving your infant/toddler in the care of someone new, but the teachers do an incredible job of providing a loving environment where your child can thrive. Will and Rosie, (Director and Education Coordinator) are creative, kind and focused on providing the best possible experience for the children. I could go on and on...but we highly recommend BHFSP!

Caring, Professional and Enriching Environment for my child. So many positive words come to mind when I think about how wonderful Bright Horizons at First Stamford Place has been for my son. Since his first day at 6-months-old in Infants to an energetic and talkative 2-year-old toddler, Bright Horizons has had such a wonderful impact on his early childhood development! The Bright Horizons infant room helped socialize and introduce my son to caring teachers who we still keep in touch with today. After a few months pandemic absence, his new teachers, staff and administration went above and beyond to transition my son to a new class and friends in Toddlers. The app is an incredibly comforting way to know how my son is doing throughout the day (awesome pictures and a personalized note from his teachers!) I love seeing photos of him smiling and laughing with his friends throughout the day. Daily lesson plans describing language, physical movement and art activities (including getting fresh air every day) provide my son with incredible educational and social activities throughout the day. Administration is down-to-earth and easily accessible, which makes for a pleasant experience all around!
