Start with the good - my room was spacious. The receptionist on arrival was friendly. Location is central. But thats where the good ends. The elevators werent operating, there was a leak on floor 1 so I suddenly found myself walking on a sodden carpet. The condensation on the windows formed pools of water. The hotel is tired. Very tired and is not at the typical Marriott standard. Sadly the receptionists on check out were much less friendly. At least the porter pleasantly wished me a good day on leaving. Its not a terrible hotel but has many, many issues sadly.

Used for breakfast. Good taste and service. However, there is a fee for parking. Moreover, none of the cards were accepted. The woman who responded to the help button responded coldly. The reason you press the button here is because your card won't work and the gate won't open, so you should take action by immediately dispatching a staff member.

Most probably the absolute worse experience Ive had at a Marriott property. I had booked this hotel for 4 nights and after checking in late at night due to travel issues from the west coast I got to my room tired and cold. I checked out the next morning. The room wouldnt warm up, I nearly slipped in the bathroom because the shower leaks out everywhere, and the room had a funky odor. In the morning I woke up and noticed a stain on the outdated tv media center. I touched it (not sure what compelled me) and it was red and sticky. Hopefully ketchup but wouldnt surprise me if it was something worse. The hotel is very old, and considering Stamford is a big business city center dominated by some large profile companies I surprised Marriott have not invested more money into this property. Last renovation was in 2011 and it was clearly not designed to last and Im guessing they just pulled furniture from an even older property. The hotel smells, its run down, the staff we mediocre at best, the amenities were below par and the food was cheap and mass produced. Marriott do better. Rooms: Horribly old outdated and dirty. Odd odors throughout. Food & drinks: Poor quality restaurant
