Windsor Inn Hotel

This is a no frills hotel with a lot of heart. It is very clean, the staff are friendly, and it is walkable to many popular attractions and neighbourhoods. They still use metal keys for the room doors, and there is no elevator. There is no coffee maker in the room, but they have complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby 24/7. The decor is dated, and there are many signs of wear and tear, but you can tell they are doing the best with what they have to make it a pleasant place to stay. I would stay here again.

It is an old run down hotel. I get that DC is insanely overpriced, but keep your expectations low. It's a place to sleep and nothing more. It's relatively clean, but at about 200 for the night with taxes, not impressed.

I truly regret choosing your hotel for 12 nights. I'm here for business and all I get at the reception is very uncomfortable experience. At the beginning, the receptionist told me he can provide an early check in with an extra fee, which I accepted. But later he told me it won't be a good room. So when I suggested that I can check in early in the bad room but then move me to another better one since I'm staying for too long, he told me no and that I cannot even get the bad room. This is very disappointing and I will make sure to share this very sad and rude experience. And of course there is a hidden reason behind his attitude. Afterwards, I went to him trying just to convince him to get me any available room. And then in any other day I can change the room which he totally rejected. I'm disappointed of the zero flexibility. It might not be his fault but the hotel system is very disappointing.
