Founding trainer supports genocide. A bit concerning and not an inclusive place to box. Mayweather boxing is better

I enjoy the concept of Rumble & I appreciate the cleanliness of the gym facility. The instructors are knowledgeable. However, the staff really need a lesson in diversity & inclusion training. I have attended about (4) classes so far and most times I am the only person who looks like me (Black-Middle aged woman and Full Figured). Many times I feel like the oddball, but I learn not to internalize these feelings as my journey is my own and downtown Tampa is filled with several students and younger, leaner adults. Nonetheless, today I encouraged my cousin visiting from another state who is looking for a new workout and gym to come in with me. When we arrived I explained her interest and asked would it be okay if she watched. The front desk staff said no problem as long as she is in the back and there was only (6) folks in class including myself for the day. They even were encouraging like yeah I love this encouragement. However, 10-15 minutes later, she was asked to leave the workout room. I was in the middle of the workout so was unaware of what happened, but none of the staff said anything to me. When I spoke to my cousin, she told me they asked her to leave the room and told her she could sit in the lobby. I was shocked by the lack of customer service and disappointed that nobody inquired if she would like to join, especially considering that members are encouraged to bring guests to join AND even next week for VDay, we were encouraged by the instructor(s) to bring lovers and friends for them to see how we workout. When I called back, I spoke to Tyler and he said they didnt know how to handle the situation and called the manager after we had walked into the class. I was confused because my cousin wasnt in anyones way, she was genuinely curious about the class, and was interested in joining in, but was left discouraged at this point. I informed Tyler of my own disappointment as Ive noticed the facility has accommodated others as far as allowing people to bring their dogs to roam in the lobby without leashes. As someone who is not only fearful, but allergic to dogs, I did not speak up about this because I can appreciate a gym that encourages members to make the workout no matter what. However, now I feel like after this experience, that may be only one sided. It has been several hours and I still have not heard from the manager in regard to using the remainder of my class package at another location. But regardless, I do not feel very comfortable with this situation and I may have to reconsider moving forward. I hope the staff learn from this experience to further facilitate and make everyone feel welcomed and not allow their unconscious biases make others feel uncomfortable. They missed out on an opportunity to talk to a potential member or someone willing to pay for the class in the future because of how this was poorly managed.
