VCA Gentle Vets Animal Hospital

Just had our first experience at this facility to treat our dog. Dr. Fernandez did amazing with explaining treatment plan and pricing to make sure we were comfortable with everything before moving forward. Im happy that we have a vet in our neighborhood thats so awesome! Looking forward to coming back for all of our wellness and checkup visits in the future.

To begin, I want to say that I never leave poor reviews unless I am greatly wronged. We took our golden retriever and her new litter of puppies in to this vet and they initially(on phone) quoted us $110 for the initial visit per animal but ended up charging us $150 per animal. Also, in the exam room, the doctor said that an x-ray was going to cost $200 but when they gave me the bill it showed over $300 and when I asked to speak to a manager regarding the pricing, I said that because I was quoted lower prices that I would not pay more and she basically said, too bad it is what it is, and you have to pay. They held my dog in the back until I paid the full price. There are other VCA animal hospitals on the island, so I highly recommend you take the extra 20 minutes to drive to those.. I am adding this second section in addition to the original review to respond to your comment. After you posted this response to my review, I spoke with a Manager from your office and the person basically did not address any of my issues, but instead gave excuses as to why they thought that they were correct. The woman seemed to take it personally, and did not address my issues in a way that made me feel I was heard.
