        Hands down amongst a lot of travel this is right up there as one of the most memorable experiences. Ross was our Hawaii Campers guy and he couldnt have made the customer experience any better. Our first choice of van didnt suit but he was understanding and found a solution and we were on our way with Lucy. The van was great, bedding awesome and the convenience of kitchen etc well set up. There is something very magical pulling your van into some of the most glorious locations on the planet to spend the night. Everyone loves a little five star luxury but in many ways it doesnt compete with this option. Just for getting close and connected with life. Hawaii Camp Surfers rock. We will be back and cant wait.

        ive known Lucas since he first started here in oahu. i run a small beach front campsite and he was the only van company that came out to look at my place. He is very professional ,nice and helpful. i appreciate all the recommendations he gives his guest about my place. thank you lucas

        Russ who checked us in was great and even recommended a great taco place to us. We had a good time cruising round in Mallory however the experience has been soured. On return I was told it would be a couple of dollars for fuel (was just below the full line) and have been charged $37. We dropped the van back early and would have refuelled ourselves if we hadnt been told it would only be a couple of dollars. Its also annoying that you get the vehicle at 2pm and have to return it at 11am. Also note that sleeping in a van is illegal in Oahu and the park rangers do come round. Id recommend staying at hipcamps to avoid confrontations.

        Had a 10/10 experience with Hawaii Surf campers! We rented Big T which was very spacious and had AC! Our friends rented Honeycombe which was also great! They also provided a map of campsites which was very helpful. Ross was the best at showing us everything there was to know about our van and was super kind! Highly recommend this experience!

      Hello Shareen good morning thank you for your review. We are very sorry about the way you feel and we are sad to see that you based ALL your experience on a $37 charge to your card when you did not return the vehicle with a full thank of gasoline as the vehicle was picked up. We really refrain from explaining company rules publicly but in this case we need to be transparent because its unfair that we are doing our best to be respectful to other clients (after you) as well as our staff who is working to make sure the vans are in working order for all our guests. Yes you did get charged $25 fee for refilling the tank of gasoline when you did not return full because somebody is working time to get that tank refilled, plus $$7 dollar charge for the gasoline that we needed to refill. Upon signing our contract which is only one page long and it is stated in BOLD RED CAPITAL that you will be charged in case there is failure in complying with simple rules of bringing the vehicle back clean, full tank of gas, and in working order as picked up. Our fee is very reasonable and we are not trying to take advantage of anybody, we just want to make sure the next client is being treated the same was as you when you came and collected the van with a FULL TANK of gasoline and clean :) Unfortunately you did not understand this, so maybe with this explanation it will make it a little more sense. thanks again for staying with us.
