Perfect little cottage for our week vacation in Kauai. Everything about it was exactly what I was hoping for. It's off the beaten path, in a beautiful, friendly, small town. I don't think I could say enough good things about it. Honestly, the only thing that was difficult was no AC, but it actually got us out of the house nice and early to avoid the heat.

January visit with family for 10 days. Place is simple and sweet. It's on the SW part of the island and it's known for hot and dry - just what we were looking for in January as we hale from the Great PNW and needed to roast the mold off. There is no A/C - but you really don't need it during the Winter months. Great ceiling fans - and a nice breeze off the ocean up into the canyon was enough to keep us plenty cool. Town of Waimea won't blow you away - but we aren't visiting Kauai to shop or hang in towns - beaches are all within easy driving distance. Local Market has great poke! As far as the digs go - they are rustic - or maybe better referred to as shabby chic. Screen porch is a great place to hang out. Kitchen has everything you need. For a family of 4 or 5 - it's a great fit. It's nicely furnished. Has a good size tv with cable. Coffee maker works :). What to say. It ain't for everybody - requires a sort wanting to be away from the buzz, a desire to be close to the natural environment, likes funky, is willing to load up and roll to beaches vs walking out your Hotel or condo for drinks pool side. Overall, we loved it!
