Thompson Chicago, by Hyatt

I was staying at the Thompson Chicago from March 14th to March 16th and booked for two nights directly via Hyatt. On March 15th, when I returned to the hotel I found all my belongings cleared out of the room, with them only returning one sweatshirt wrapped in a plastic bag. My other clothes and souveniers, including a hoody and a pair of pants were not returned and the hotel does not take this matter seriously. Throughout my entire life nothing like this happened in my hotel stays. The is the worst hotel stay ever and I do not feel safe anymore.

The hotel was beautiful, staff was nice (specifically Hannah and Jazmin), but when I arrived and my room was ready early they informed me it would be a $50 check in fee before 1pm. In addition, when I checked out at 6am and needed to leave my bags for later that morning it was another $50 fee. For an already expensive hotel this was a ridiculous money grab and would not recommend staying here.

Great location, cant beat it! Hotel was decorated very nice & had an upscale feel. Restaurant & bar are under construction but you can walk out the front door to many restaurants & bars just a few steps away. My only complaints are about the beds & there not being a fridge. There was a mini-fridge filled with beverages you could purchase, however. The bed was like sleeping on a board. Had two of the worst night sleeps there due to how extremely uncomfortable it was. I dont think I could go back for that reason. Everything else was great.
