What a wonderful place in Coulterville, Illinois. I visited with my family on a special appointment. Our guide is a native of Coulterville and has a great love of the city. She knows about each item in the museum and the history behind it. The building is a former doctor's office and the front room is dedicated to his practice and memory. Worth the visit!

Recently formed by Coulterville School History Club as a local non-profit organization the Coulterville Historical Society opened this Mesuem and put on display items of Historical integrity in and about the Coulterville Area. Jenny Dyson the club's sponsor and history teacher led her class club members to donate their time and energy to build this non-profit organization to record and display the history of our community. Enjoy the pictures taken at the Grand Opening.
