If I could give zero stars I would! I had home warranty of America (HWA) who is horrible also…. But in the middle of summer they contracted this company to come out. First of all Rick could not have been ruder to me. I asked his girl who schedules the appts to have Rick call me 30 min before coming. I wasn’t living at my house due to not having ac In the middle of summer and was staying at a friend’s house 30 min away. Well he called me right when he arrived and I told him he was supposed to give me 30 min notice he said well I don’t do that. If you’re not here in 25 min I’m leaving and you can reschedule in TWO WEEKS. I got in almost 2 accidents trying to get there in time. I get there and he’s like oh ya sorry she just told me I was supposed to call you. Well if that wasn’t bad enough, he supposedly replaced my entire HVAC and not even a year later it’s leaking horribly. We called him to come fix it considering it’s not even ONE YEAR OLD. he said oh if you don’t have HWA, then it’s not under warranty. I called ABC heating and cooling. A very reputable well known company, and the guy said HMS should ABSOLUTELY be warranting THEIR work for AT LEAST ONE YEAR, actually it should be longer. But no, Rick says nope not under warranty. Please do yourself a favor and call ABC and NOT this horrible company. In reply to Rick, the owner: you most definitely did tell me I needed to be there in 25 min. You also screamed at me multiple times prior to me getting aggravated. I’ve spoken to a lawyer who also said you’re full of BS, as labor should definitely be guaranteed for at least a year, if not longer. If you can’t warranty your labor for more than 6 months, then it’s no wonder why I had a problem with a brand new unit. Truly, if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor, and call ABC, or literally any other company. All I wanted was my AC fixed as soon as possible in the middle of a hot Chicago summer. I work in customer service and don’t see the point in “screaming at someone right when they arrive.” That’s just more BS nonsense. Maybe Rick is good to those who don’t have a warranty, otherwise I can’t see how this company has anything other than 1 star. Services: Heating system installation, AC installation
