Residence Inn by Marriott Moline Quad Cities

I stayed at the moline location on April 7th and I by far had the worst and unprofessional experience I have ever had! I will never stay at another Marriott hotel and I cancelled my membership! I rented the two room suite and paid $190. Just to start off there was a ant infestation in my room and when I called the front desk and spoke to heather she acted as if I was lying about the ants but I took pictures and then proceeded to tell me she cant move me to a different room or give me a discount and vacuumed up some of the ants and that was it. My friend also had a room there at the same time as me so we went up to her room because the ants were so bad. we got settled and got our kids to bed. Mind you my friend had a 7month old, 4 year old and a 10 year old. I had a 5, 8, 11, 13 year old we fell asleep with a the tv on as we do every night and thats what we are use to. We got woke up to three cops in our room shining flash lights in our faces and telling us to get out because there was a noise complaint and I guess our tv was too loud but the kids and I had no issues sleeping in the same room as the tv. So we were forced to wake our kids up and leave at 4 in the morning and had to then book another room at a different hotel and the police officers were very helpful and felt terrible for having to make us leave. THE MARRIOTT REFUSES TO REFUND ME OR MY FRIEND AND CONTINUE TO LIE TO CORPORATE ABOUT THE REASONS THEY MADE US LEAVE. Mind you heather at the front desk was very rude and informed me that she had been watching us on the cameras all night nd said things about me leaving to run to the gas station as if i wasnt allowed to leave the hotel after checking in. It was the craziest experience I have ever experienced. Heather the front desk lady seemed to be on some kind of drug of some sort and we were beyond confused on why that was happening. It all happened after I informed them about the ants and she began being very weird and not allowing us to us the amenities the hotel offered to all guests. Not to mention our kids were traumatized by the whole experience and waking up to cops in their faces in the middle of the night! Save your money nd time and avoid this hotel or Marriott at all cost! They wont refund you and will lie to cover up how unprofessional they are! I will say the only Marriott employee that was nice and gave us amazing customer service was rosemary the front desk lady working when I first checked in and before shift change. After shift change heather made us feel very uncomfortable and very unsafe while also traumatizing my children.. I hope I can save someone else from experiencing something like this.

Not sure what happened over the years but they clearly dont care about this establishment like they used to. Disgusting rooms (I was moved to multiple rooms and both were absolutely horrendous), the first room we got into the sheets were not changed they were flipped inside out. The door did not close all the way so you could hear everything in the room from the hallway. The second room we were moved to had mouse poop & mold. Everything was disgusting, the floors are falling apart as well as the dishwashers. Absolutely not worth whatever theyre charging for a room. Breakfast was ok, lobby looks nice and the staff was extremely nice but thats about it. I would never recommend anyone to stay there, if anything I would say to stay away.
