LAZ Parking

My experience here at Emerson, despite Chicago's reputation as a melting pot, has been marred by a pervasive sense of segregation. Many of the white tenants I encounter in the elevator seem socially awkward when they see a black person, often mistaking me for a delivery driver rather than a resident. Even in the community room, interactions are strained as people are too preoccupied and any noise feels disruptive to them. The atmosphere lacks the vibrancy and diversity one would expect, leaving me feeling like I'm surrounded by individuals who have never encountered black people before. It's disheartening that in 2024, I still have to silently endure instances of racism.

I really enjoy living at the Emerson. You cant beat the location and the neighborhood is great. Theres always something to do and lots of good restaurants. The staff here is amazing overall. Helpful and competent. The maintenance team in particular. Any issues I have are typically fixed within 24 hours of submitting. Very professional and courteous as well.

Noise from the train is unbearable, the grills outside do not work often. Last summer the pool was closed. AN ELEVATOR IS ALWAYS DOWN AND I MEAN ALWAYS. The garage panels make this loud noise when it is extremely windy.

Luxury, beautiful, high value and convenient! Pet friendly and most of the residents are friendly as well. The leasing management team is professional and efficient. Highly recommend!
