I would highly recommend Helena as an attorney. I found her to be extremely knowledgable, professional, and understood the challenges of my particular case. She was completely honest in presenting the various scenarios/options and guided me with her professional opinion. One area I especially had an appreciation for was the way she and/or her team would respond to phone calls or emails. I wouldn't hesitate to retain Helena again if needed.

Mimi is an absolutely superb lawyer and it's very easy to see why she is so highly regarded in Illinois. She was my daughter's Child Advocate and did an outstanding job during often difficult and unnecessarily fractious custody disputes. Mimi made it very clear that her client was our daughter and both of her parents were secondary. I had no problem with that at all. Mimi was scrupulously fair and laser focused on the best possible outcome for our daughter. More than that she has stayed in touch long after the divorce proceedings were concluded. I would honestly call Mimi a major reason for why my daughter has proceeded to excellent academic achievements.

I would give 0 stars if possible. She gave residential custody of my small child to a raging alcoholic. She could not see through the facade he portrayed and my child has now been suffering for 3 years. We will be going to back to court sometime this year to try to fix the damage that Miriam has done. I hope you can sleep at night because my child cannot.
