Nous avons crois dautres vans de cette agence sur la route, cest une agence assez rpute et srieuse. Mais nhsitez pas bien regarder le van quon vous donne en fonction du road trip prvu ! Autre info, regardez aussi ltat de leau avant de partir. Nous avons eu des dpts dans la cuve (soit disant pleine et propre), et nous avons du la vider (par le robinet) pour la re remplir a prend un peu de temps mais une fois que cest fait, cest rgl. Mais nous avons galement reu un ddommagement financier pour ce problme (remboursement de toutes nos bouteilles deau consommes). Et aussi, nhsitez pas demander 2 autres couvertures pour le lit si vous voyagez en hiver ! Une seule nest clairement pas suffisante. Lors de notre change de van, nous en avons profit pour rclamer des couvertures et heureusement que nous en avions 3, ctait bien mieux. RENTERS BEWARE! This company is a totally bait and switch scam. We thought we were getting a reasonable deal, but when we went to pick up the van, we learned about hefty extra charges for milage, and were told we couldn't get out of the contract. The oil light came on practically the minute we drove off, the windshield cracked in the cold. We will never deal with these scammers again

THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM. They don't mention that they charge insane mileage fees, and their contract won't let you cancel once you find out (we would have happily let them keep the deposit). Our trip to California ended up costing TWICE as much as they quoted us; they essentially stole more than a thousand dollars from us. The van we rented had a ridiculous number of miles on it, the windshield cracked in the cold, and we had to pay to get the oil changed on our trip. Find someplace less predatory to rent from.

We really enjoyed renting from Escape Campervans. I would caution, late fall or winter rentals as we got pretty chilly - that was more bad luck than anything else. We rented over an unusually cold week in November. The van had lots of storage space and decent mileage for the size of the vehicle. My son wants to go again - but when it is warmer. Laina - at the office in Chicago was great. She was really helpful and responsive.

Excellent service, but the van was in bad shape mechanically: something that should have been obvious when they drove it to get an oil change just before we got there. The tires were badly worn, almost bald, and the car drifted to one side while driving. There was a loud clanking noise coming from the front wheel and the whole van shook and banged when in motion, even at low speeds. Not cool.
