I would beware of this place. Anyone who asks a person who is deaf during the interview how they can possibly take care of children if they are deaf is ignorant and insensitive. This actually happened today!! I am irate and cannot believe that this individual grew up and lives in the Stone Age! To whoever reads this at the Hiawatha day school. Anyone who is deaf and is a mother takes care of her children the same way you take care of yours. People who are deaf also read the same way you do! Oh and by the way they can even drive cars and they are safer drivers than you are!! You most definitely owe the person you interviewed an apology.

Day school itself is good especially the teachers. But the director/owner is non-decent people. She charge money in 1 second. But if you find a wrong charge or something else you need her feedback, it will take a couple of months or years to get feedback. My kid doesnt attend school for almost year. But she still charge tuition without official notice. I made several calls but didnt get any feedback. She just keep charging money. Please think twice before you send kid there. You might have to deal with really non-decent people.

Hiawatha Day School is fabulous! They have the most kind, caring and attentive teachers/staff you could ever ask for. They offer so many extras for the kids (sports, dance, field trips)! I'm so grateful to them and glad they take such good care of us and all the other families that go here. I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone that wants great care and education for their children! They definitely go above and beyond for the children and their families!

Christa Fielder, owner and director of the Hiawatha Day School, is the most compassionate and considerate person I have ever known. She inspires her teachers to care for every child, provides training for her staffs continual improvement, and demands a safe, clean learning facility. Few other day schools can come close to the environment found at Hiawatha Day School. Without a doubt, Hiawatha Day School tops any other place that I have worked. Thanks in part to Christas unwavering championship for the children in her care and with that same love she instills in her staff.

I have had three children at the Hiawatha Day School over the past 9 years. I am thankful to have such an incredible place in my childrens lives - kind, knowledgeable teachers; healthy, homemade lunches; and an incredible music program!
