U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bowling Green

I rented a UHAUL trailer from in PA to take to Texas after picking up several collections of goods along the way. Around Kentucky, one of the chains, which I never touched after the staff connected them, came undone. The chain kicked up and shattered my rear windshield. When we stopped in KY to talk to this UHAUL location, get the chains fixed, etc. they questioned the manager, whom the front desk staff called, was adamant about not doing anything because he did not want to accept any potential responsibility or liability for what had gone wrong. There was no concern for me, the customer, just attempts to distance himself from risk. Luckily, the member of staff was very helpful and at least swapped out our chains to get us back on the road and showing sympathy to our situation. As he swapped the chains, he noted concern about the manner in which the chains had been connected and utilized a very different methodology to leave more appropriate slack for turning, bumps, etc. Long story short, the claim was denied and now my 2023 car has a replaced window, paid for out of pocket, as well as some paint damage from the chain that I still need to pay for to fix. The entire claim process, through a company called RepWest, has been awful and no one has shown any serious interest in understanding what happened and how. They just state that the picture from hook up looks good and it must therefore be my fault some how. A proper hook up should not come undone. I will question using UHAUL trailers in the future based on this experience. This feedback is as much for the manager who showed no concern for us as a customer as it is for UHAUL upper management.

People at customer service were Very Helpful and Polite, unfortunately i had an issue Before my stuff even made it to Bowling green. Loaded my stuff up in U Boxes and we are Limited to a month with them. So when i had to Pay to have them come pick them up i was told they will sit in There storage till They can get them delivered. Mind you i had them filled and picked up in two weeks that gave them 14 days to get them to Bowling green. Long story short they tried to charge me for two months of storage and in the end almost two months befor i had a Bed to sleep on. Then i had to pick them up Myself and drive a Uhaul with my units in tow and unload and return the truck and units. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THERE U BOXES. There policy is a Joke and Customer service is a joke. Uboxes are a 3rd party thung and its a mess. Needs a Lot of work done before i would use them again sorry just my opinion.
