Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington Dtwn Area-Keeneland, an IHG Hotel

The rooms were very clean and fairly soundproof. The bed was comfortable, and I do have a lot of pain issues, so I was quite happy about this. The front desk staff and staff in charge of breakfast were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, except the coffee wasn't the best. However, the rooms have a Kerig coffee pot and coffee pods in the room. This motel is in a nice area and is in walking distance to several casual restaurants. I had the family/ friends discount, so it was a great price for me. Rooms: Very comfy and clean. Quiet also. Nearby activities: I did not have time to explore any nearby activities, if there were any, as I was there to visit a friend in a memory care facility in Georgetown. Safety: Felt safe here, though I also had a door stop since I was traveling solo. Walkability: Easy access to several casual restaurants. Food & drinks: They have a small snack room, with various drinks and quick snacks/ meals. The front desk person offered me me a bottle of water when I checked in. Noteworthy details: All of the staff were very nice and helpful!

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was really good. Only negative was the loud people/sound coming from the room above us. Nice clean location!

It's probably the nicest people I met ever during the check-in. I work shows around the country and nowadays people seem like they don't care. The staff here is by far the best I've seen around the country. It's nice to see there are still good people out there with all the crazy things that are happening nowadays .

Housekeeping overuses air fresheners and strong cleaning supplies that are so strong that you can taste them in the air. Makes you wake up feeling ill at 3:00 in the morning. It seems like the smell would go away after a while, but kept getting stronger. Night management offered to change room but said that other rooms would probably be just as bad. Said he would make a note for the day manager to make it right with me. Day manager didn't give a rip. Management of hotel sent me a letter offering me to try them again and see how they can approve it. You had your chance to make things right the first time and you did not care, I could not even get a receipt. I will never go there again. Rooms: Rooms were clean but the scent was horrible from the cleaning supplies and air fresheners being very overbearing Food & drinks: Morning breakfast was not that great. Noteworthy details: The night manager is very friendly and willing to take care of the customer. Morning manager does not care. They would not even give me a receipt.
