The groups is a good thing but don't get case manager because they're not considerate or thoughtful of anybody or anything

Groups have been a life saver for me. I had been in recovery for many years but life happens and my good karma was waning. Groups helped me greatly, we developed a workable treatment plan and today I feel that I am back to my old regular great attitude and life. Thank you, each and everyone at Lewiston's Groups.

When your in a position to get better, to be better, to over-come whatever your struggling with, this is the place to go. With a strong team work vibe, it is a place where you can create your own plan, meet long term/short term goals, make friends, feel empathy for and from others, and at the end of the day be and feel totally supported. Being an addict is hard enough, but being an addict in recovery and navigating this world can be nightmarish. Your not alone, especially here. Before you sign up for a 4 hour a day IOP program where there is a zero tolerance for cannabis and if you relapse you lose your script and are made to feel like you can't progress without being perfect (though for some thats exactly what they need and thats ok) give this place a call and just meet them. Its not for the addict whose not ready though, that's for sure. The independence they give you is vast and if your not ready for that and to be honest, do the work, you will find yourself being directed to a program more like the one I mentioned above. Trust me. I spent 5 years in a program like that and it NEVER mattered how long id been clean. The standards were always the same and when it came time to taper down I did not feel supported. If I smoked a little weed I was treated like i went on a week long bender. Assess where you are, what your ready for. Do your research and when the time comes Group's Recover Together will be there for you with a smile, a fist bump and relaxed and accepting attitudes. No matter who you are or what your dealing with. Its a week to week type program with one time weekly group sessions. They have long term folks and newbies mixed in together which I find allows perspective and insight. Sessions with doc are via video chat (even before COVID-19). Your judged based on your commitment, consistency and reliability. Do what your supposed to when your supposed to and you'll be super. N/A jargon is not used here, though meetings are encouraged, which they should be. There is no religious affiliation which for some in this game is a relief. Good luck and remember just take it all in stride.

We are sorry to hear of any negative experience at Groups. Our clinical support center team is always available to talk at the number on our listing. We work hard to provide the best program for people in recovery and take all feedback seriously.
