I took the 5-day Allagash trip and it was one of the best, most memorable trips I've ever taken! The beauty is breathtaking. We saw moose, black bear, deer, snakes, etc... due to the quiet rainy days that didn't damper the trip at all. We were guided by the best, Wayne and Allen, with a wealth of skill and knowledge. They taught us survival skills, prepared camp, and cooked unbelievable meals. A bucket-list trip that I would do again and I do not hesitate to recommend to others. If you're reading this, just book it!

Even today, it makes me smile to think aboutthat trip and what a great time I had - how awesomethe people were, how prepared (maybe even pampered!) we were every step of the way - from thunderstorm tarps to strawberry shortcake. My most heartfelt enthusiasm and gratitude is for the most epically great guides a first-timercould dream of. Had Tammi and Wayne been the most taciturn guides, I would have been so grateful to have their incredible competence, expansive expertise, and calm leadership on this trip. But they were the opposite. They engulfed this trip with kindness. They were fun and gracious. They were unflaggingly generous with their energy and attention. They made me feel both special and self-reliant. Getting to spend a few days in a boat with Tammi is a privilege. I learned so much and all the lessons were stuffed with delight. Good for the heart and mind as well as healthy for the body.I can't wait to do another trip.

I just finished an Allagash River trip with Dave and Tammi. It was one of the most exhilarating adventures I have had. From the first communications to pictures of our trip, Dave was organized, helpful, accommodating and so skilled. He's been on the river for years and knows it thoroughly. We had really high water which allowed for some unique, fun experiences. From the first sip of coffee to the last bite of dessert, the food was high quality and delicious. This trip exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Canoe the Wild. Thanks Dave, Tammi and all the other paddlers for helping to create such a wonderful experience.

Such a memorable trip with guides Tammi and Wayne. We saw 7 moose and as many eagles! Both the Allagash and Canoe the Wild was all we had hoped for and more. I highly recommend.
