We had a great experience using BTR HVAC Services. We highly recommend this company. Bud was our technician and he went above and beyond to repair our AC unit. Its really hard to find someone who you can trust to do a good job and be professional. Bud was very thorough in his work and knowledgeable in the field. Shout out to Trish on the phone who booked our appointment as she was very kind on the phone.

5/12/24 UPDATE: So actually another HVAC tech suggested installing an 1. additional vent downstairs (when previous owners created open layout, demolitioning the wall demolished the only vent - this is why permits are important). That has been a godsend especially this spring with the cold then super hot days. He installed a damper which fixed the issue upstairs between being too hot/uneven, and fixed the extreme difference between up and downstairs. 2. Additionally, if you do not have vents above your doors - just keep them open and that creates a more even air flow and fixes the issue of extreme differences in room temps. I place hydrometers (Govee) in my problem areas last year and yep now downstairs and upstairs are pretty much the same. 3. Also, that same HVAC tech moved my thermostat upstairs (its a tech one) and that cured the issues (place thermostat on floor you are typically on and near the return) - 4. along with a home-fan in the bathroom to help with the humidity DMV experiences when it gets warm. All of that - for a fraction of the price and did not need to gut anything. Hire painters, carpenters, nothing. Next step is installing a mini split in the room with no ventilation/air flow - just trying to find a good electrician that is fair and legit to upgrade the panel. Boom. Hopefully this advice helps someone else experiencing this - 2 years of countless HVAC techs and this one thought outside of the box. Thanks BTR, but no thanks. I get that people gotta make money somehow - make it on someone else. UPDATE: Uneven heating and cooling in home (2 level above ground, small ~1500sqft), and individual rooms. Super low pressure. Additional room, additional duct branches lowered pressure in certain areas. Their resolution: install a split duct system for the upstairs or gut out and replace ducts (larger). While he was right, one duct was horribly installed by a former homeowner - many months later another company assessed the full system and in fact the coil, ducts, system were filthy. After having those cleaned - not even the outside unit coil, just inside coil and ducts - the change has been amazing in our home. Had a few HVAC companies come out prior, including this one, and am terribly upset. Our newborn was breathing this in. And these companies just wanted to make more money. Shame on 2-10 Home Warranty company as well. Not one of their contracted companies properly diagnose and fix issues - even after they come out multiple times. Only when I have come out of pocket and hired proper techs have they correctly addressed stem issue immediately. ***I had some flooding/overflow issues so the PVC and pump (Little Giant condensate removal pump) were replaced.*** Bud was an amazing tech, and Trish was an amazing help with setting up the appointments, etc. I would highly recommend this business, as they assisted me in an HVAC issue - after troubleshooting and diagnosing the issue, Bud quickly followed up to fix it. The thing I appreciated most was his patience and thoroughness - he tested out the unit, thermostat, and newly installed pump to ensure that the unit was working. #1 I had paid another company prior to fix the issue a few days prior - horrid experience, so I had questions. #2 I am nosey, because as a recent homeowner I want to learn about my house to ensure I do the proper maintenance and understand what the heck is going on with it - he clearly explained the details, issue, and work needed to be performed. You dont want a tech that just rushes through, performs a messy job, unprofessional, tries to misdiagnose to charge more, or keeps you in the dark about what is going on - so please, call BTR!
