I have a real fear of going to the dentist. Let me tell you about the wonderful experience I had at the Pikesville Family Dentistry , they were patient, understanding and just great with me. Everyone from the front desk up to the Dentist were extremely friendly. If you are looking for a Dentist I highly recommend them. Thanks 4/10/24

I would highly recommend Pikesville Family Dentistry to anyone new or established in the Baltimore-area who is looking for a professional and caring dental office. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt well received and welcomed in. I was very impressed by the level of attention that Alyssa at the front desk showed towards me, a new patient, to show me around the office. Not only does the office use digital x-rays, but they also offer a digital mouth scanner that can be used in place of regular impressions, good riddance to gagging! Dr. Tom was thorough in his explanation of the treatment plan and the office coordinator Amber was extremely knowledgeable about pricing and scheduling. I have no doubt that anyone who comes to Pikesville Family Dentistry will be just as impressed with how this business is run!

The team took time to communicate with me and made sure I was comfortable. I felt comfortable and at ease. The location is great, has plenty of parking space, near restaurants and some offices.

First, they were running a promotion where you can win an ipad or TV if you submit a review on Google. Therefore, I would be skeptical of reviews with little/no info. Second, they took over Dr. Barr's practice, and as a welcome gift, gave out cookies. But after leaving my cleaning, I had to ask for a toothbrush. I found that bizarre/telling. Third, I listened to Dr. Tom tell every patient -over the course of 3 visits- telling people in the seats next to me that they needed new crowns or expensive work. Fourth, when I said I wanted to get a second opinion, he referred me (and others based on other reviews) to the periodontist next door. I assume they have the same owners, because the hygienist I had during one visit said she splits her time between both practices. Fifth, after puchasing a new crown-that he insisted I needed- he couldn't get in it after 3 attempts. So he referred me to the periodontist next door. When I asked if I would get the $ back for the crown I never got, he said they would give me a crown as long as I first got an implant from the ...you guessed it... the periodontist next door. On the plus side, the front office is much brighter and has a little fridge with water.
