I would not recommend this hotel for a family. After settling into our room the smell of pot was so strong we couldnt catch our breath. The desk clerk was very kind and allowed us to switch rooms. Unfortunately, not only could we still smell weed, the room we were given was not clean. There was hair and left over gunk in the bed. We left and found another hotel to stay in. This hotel needs at minimal a deep clean, but ideally full remodel. Rooms: Dated and dirty

In Starkville to attend an event this past weekend. Room next to me had the tv blaring until at least midnight and they were up talking loudly until 3 am. Called the front desk to see if I could at least move since a lot of patrons had cleared out. I had to be up early the next day for work and had a 3 hour drive. Was told that they would ask them to lower their voices . Never happened. Very sleepy when I finally got up. Left a three device charger in the room and when I got back home I realized and called the hotel back. Was told that the housekeeper cleans everything out of the room and would probably have it. I asked if she could at least check the room especially if they were going to allow another reservation in the room. Assured me that the housekeeper would have removed it and took my number to have the housekeeping manager call me back. I am still awaiting that call. I have left multiple messages for the manager and the housekeeping manager. Never had a hotel to not want to help in returning items.
