I have had Jonathan from LV Grout Tile Surgeon LLC as my tile guy for the last 3 years. I have him come reseal my floors and redo the caulking in my shower about every 6 months. In fact, he just came to do my 6 month maintenance on March 15, 2024. He does excellent precise work each and every time. He pays attention to detail and always does work to my satisfaction every time! Every time I have hired him he has gone above and beyond with no questions asked! I will not hire any other tile guy because he is the only one I can trust to do my work right the first time. I really feel that there is no other company out there that can do the excellent work that he does! I have had nothing but excellent professional service from him each and every time. Thank you Jonathan for restoring my tile in my home to look brand new! I will refer you to everyone I know because YOU and your company are the Only Ones I will trust in my home!! Very unfortunately, our experience with Jonathan appears to be very different than most on here. We called him about regrouting our shower. He came over, looked at the shower, gave us the price and we signed the contract. He seemed to be very professional, very nice and very customer oriented which we liked about him very much. He called to confirm the work date which was also a nice thing for him to do. On the work day, things started out fine. He brought plastic to cover the bathroom floor with. The master bathroom was completely gutted and redone six years ago. It's a beautiful bathroom that just needed the shower done. He told us that he realizes the grout on the shower walls did not need to be done but since he had to regrout the flooring , which would be white, he would color seal the shower walls white to match. That was fine with us. About 11:30 he said he was going to lunch and would stop at Home Depot to get the sealer for the walls. We expected him back in about an hour or so, maybe a little longer. However, he was gone for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. He called about an hour and a half after leaving to say he was on his way back. He didn't return for another hour! I actually texted him to see if he got lost. He began working when he got back and when he was finished, he told us to come and look at things. It looked much better than it did originally, however, there were a couple of spots that needed to be gone over. He went berserk on us. He yelled at us that they were not dry. We understood that, however, the color is the color and part of the floor was not uniform with the rest of the floor. It was obvious. There were also a couple of other places on the shower walls that needed to be gone over. We couldn't understand what the big deal was! He had already taken the plastic off the floor so he was standing on the floor with his shoes and when I asked him to step on the mat he again screamed at me. We have never dealt with a contractor of any type that was as defensive, belligerent, and hostile as Jonathan was. Very reluctantly he went over a couple of spots but it wasn't enough. He tried to blame the floor tiles but, as I've already said, this had been a new renovation to our specs and it was perfect. His behavior was unbelievable!! He acted, in part, like he was exhausted and I thought to myself that if he didn't disappear for two and a half hours he might not have been so tired and irritable and hostile. He left our bathroom very messy and dirty. It was obvious he was angry. Everything has since dried and the same spots are still there, as we knew they would be. We need them corrected and are going to hire someone else to do it. Jonathan's behavior was so volatile that we do not want him in our home again. To reiterate, the job was not bad, but his behavior about fixing a couple of things was so hostile that people should be aware of it. Had we known he would act as he did, we never would have hired him. Update: Very unfortunately Jonathan is having a hostile reaction to my review. He says he never did work for us, yet he's posted my name and address here. Update: Thankfully Jonathan revised his response in which he had posted my name, address and phone number from the contract. He also sent hostile text messages to me. If he doesn't stop this behavior I will have no choice but to pursue this legally. I have screen shots of what he's said, as well as the hostile text messages he's sent. I hope he has the mental capability to stop. Everyone is entitled to post reviews without being harassed. Update: I see that Jonathan has gone from being hostile, to denying he did work for us, to now apologizing. As I said earlier, everyone should be aware of this person's behavior before making the decision to hire him.
