Interesting area of Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 history. Easily accessible. You cannot visit inside. You can see the past graffiti on the bricks. Information about the structure is posted. The Powder House is on a loop trail that is a pleasant and short walk to take. I believe the trail is part of the Powder House experience. The trail goes around a huge pond that is used for overflow. It has the Squamscott River on one side of it. There is another trail that connects to the Powder House Walking Trail. You can bring Fido but he or she must be on a leash and cleaned up afterwards. I found the walk relaxing. Give it a try and see what you think .
