We recently moved to Hollis and have been having a lot of work done on our house. While we have had some terrible experiences we've also had the pleasure of working with some great people and Carlos at Flooring Plus is one of the good ones! He is very responsive with texts and comes out when he says he will. He finished our basement floor in only a few days and was willing to accommodate some of our last-minute requests without issue. He even brought the baseboards out early so I could paint them the color we wanted before he put them in. He is friendly, reliable, attentive and he leaves the work space clean - all for a reasonable fee. I will definitely use him again in the future and will recommend him to family and friends.

Excellent workmanship. Responsive by phone & email. Project included removing & reinstalling vinyl plank flooring, remove & install bathroom floor tile, fireplace refacing. They also made repairs to items they noticed needed rework above & beyound scope quoted. Original quote was honored. Great cleanup as well. Very satisfied. In response to the owner's response: Carlos, was it true that I provided lunch daily, offered masks for your workers' safety during sanding, and didn't even complain when my brand new toilet was used without permission? Was it true that I paid in full, trusting you'd return to complete the job? Recognizing the difficulties of managing a business doesn't excuse substandard outcomes. When I pay for a service, I expect and deserve a quality result, not charity! However, after multiple reschedules and a rushed visit (you did come back twice, the other time to fix a dishwasher kickboard that your guys put back wrong!), when I pointed out tile discrepancies, you left yelling and slamming the door. Talking about your professionalism! The tiles differ in size, the grout colors are uneven, and the rework you attempted on the wood floor still yielded unsatisfactory results (Speaking of re-work, the current result is already your rework!) I don't want to give you a third chance to work on my floor. My thousands of dollars shouldn't be used to train your floor guys how to do their work! I hired this company based on seemingly positive online reviews (exclusively positive five-star reviews are a red flag!!) and their claim to be proficient in both tile installation and hardwood refinishing. Unfortunately, my experience with them turned into a nightmare, and I'm compelled to share my story to caution others. Firstly, while removing the tiles, the crew reported that the water valve was broken(although we never had any issue before they came), resulting in water damage in my laundry room. Despite voicing our concerns about the soaked floor potentially impacting the tile work, they reassured us that it wasn't a problem. In retrospect, we should have insisted on waiting out, understanding that a thoroughly dried floor is crucial before tile work to prevent damage to the underlying structure. But as a professinal company, they should not only have listened to our concern but also have followed the right procedure to wait till the floor was completely dry. The grout work was another major red flag. Even after providing clear instructions, the crew failed to mix color into the grout, resulting in rework but still uneven colors showed on the floors. The hardwood refinishing stage of the project turned out to be even more troublesome. A wrong wood type was utilized for the replacement section, staining took place without adequate sanding, resulting in noticeably inconsistent coloration in my kitchen. Instances of chipped wood, the presence of bubbles, and a pervasive lack of attention to detail substantially undermined the ultimate outcome. Regrettably, I erred by remitting the entire sum before the project's conclusion out of trust in their integrity, leading to unresolved issues and subsequent financial repercussions. The contractor's gross negligence resulted in a broken gas valve too, necessitating an expenditure exceeding $700 for repairs. The overall lack of professionalism was evident throughout the project. Broken base molding, damage to the walls, lack of taping during staining, uneven tile widths, poor qaulity wood planks used and wide openings between wood planks showcased a company that did not live up to its claims of being a flooring professional. Oh, they dedicated less than a minute to hastily patching up a wall hole of a size of a fist, and even as an amateur handywoman, it was evident they were not executing the task correctly. If they were unwilling to handle it properly, a simple notification would have sufficed. Rushing through the process proved detrimental to both their professional image and my satisfaction as a customer. Anyway, there's still work for them to be completed based on our contract and I will fight to get reimbursement for the incomplete work and property damages caused by their negligence! Services: Wood floor installation, Tile work installation, Floor refinishing, Drywall installation
