Pine Haven Campground

Opening weekend, the store is closed. The arcade is closed. The laundry room is closed. Bathrooms are closed. No activities for the kids. Pretty much every amenity that I pay $8,000+ for was not accessible. The manager doesnt even acknowledge the camper/customers existence. She sits in her office not answering any of our concerns while 1 lady is in the office working her butt off with a line 10+ people in it. ELS/Thousand Trails is a train wreck

Where do I even startthis place is a total dumpster fire. We enjoyed our first season there when we were owned by the last corporation. Things were ran smoothly and complaints were taken seriously. Our manager lived on site and ran a tight ship. Once the new corporation took over (thousand trails) the place turned into a complete nightmare. We have been through 3 managers in 2 years, we have no staff, the store isnt open, no one is in the gate, you cant even get anyone on the phone. This corporation has raised peoples rates anywhere from 15-30% in the matter of 3 years. None of the increases even match anyone elses, they are all over the place. We left in September to go to another campground that is run properly and privately owned. Our experience here has not been good at all. 95% of the seasonals all drink way too much and think the campground is their baby sitters, you have kids running around destroying property and no one does anything about it cause everyone is too drunk. We had 5 grown men swarm our golf cart to yell at us with hearsay about what they thought our son had done. When we called the cops on these individuals and told management, we got a letter telling us we would be kicked out if we did anything else, meanwhile we were the victims. Everyone is very cliquey and the cool kids stick together. The cool kids all suck up to the staff so they dont get in trouble when they do things they shouldnt be doing. The cabin cleaning women thinks she owns the place, she has gotten managers fired, she runs around acting like everyones friend but will turn on in a second so watch out for her. Selling was a nightmare. This corporation needs to follow laws which they never do, they think they can just make stuff up as they go. They tried to deny my sale several times telling me my trailer was too old or I wasnt following site appearance standards. None of this is in our contract so once a lawyer stepped in on my behalf they approved me instantly cause they had too. I wish anyone luck that decides to be a seasonal in this dumpster fire.
