Sarah Van Cott is amazing. She is wonderful to work with and I felt most comfortable explaining my situation. She did her best to reassure the legal steps I could take and rights I had. She made sure in the consultation I understood everything and answered all my questions.

She changes to much and she didn't even pay attention and she was on her phone the whole time I was in my meeting. Would not use her as a lawyer.

Im the type of person that is able to figure how to do most things on my own, but Im so glad that I hired Mrs. Van Cott because she did things that I would never have thought to or known how to do. When I was trying to do everything myself, the whole process was so confusing. It was such a relief to have someone else to file the paperwork, communicate with the court, communicate with my ex, know what questions to ask, and know what evidence to submit and how to submit it. It was also really convenient to have access to all of our documents and the courts documents in the online portal she uses. She was able to get me majority custody of my child, with my ex only being able to have them 3 weekends a month. This was better than I expected, because even though my ex was terrible, I didnt have a ton of proof to back it up. My whole case relied on the few pictures and doctors notes I was able to provide, but mostly the questions Mrs. Van Cott knew to ask. My court appearance was done over video due to us being in different towns, and Mrs. Van Cott noticed almost immediately after we started that someone was in the room with my ex. I hadnt heard or seen anything, but sure enough he had had our child in the room with him. I couldnt believe she had noticed that, and Im so lucky she did because of course I wouldnt have wanted my child to hear anything being discussed. The judge was very upset at my ex for doing this, so I also believe that this incident provided further proof of the type of person he is. Overall, Im very happy with the service and results Mrs. Van Cott was able to provide.
