VEG on Ralph never asked for his medical records (extensive since October as I told them) and also threw away his blood less than 12 hours later, when our vet needed it to determine what's causing anemia. Firstly, within 30 min of being seen VEG set up to perform a life threatening surgery (I'm the one who had to ask if they were using anesthesia and told them he was not a candidate for anesthesia, he would likely not wake up). Dr. mak came over like she was caught, and she told me if he did pass it would be the best thing for me to do to for him (excuse me, so should we be discussing my euthanasia options?) I asked her to wait for my fiance to arrive, in case he didn't wake up, she was very passive aggressive about this, "Sure I'll just have my nurses stop everything they're doing!" And jumped/ walked away from me. I wouldn't do the surgery so they pushed me to Blue Pearl to be seen for his anemia. Blue Pearl took my cat for over an hour, came back and their doctor said they hadn't had a chance to review his records but told me I needed to euthanize that night. Straight up told me it'd be wrong to take him home. They also said his bladder was large but not tight (VEG did not need to jump to surgery). I took him home. Now we don't have blood but at least we have an honest vet and an alive cat. Neither of these emergency vets even sent us home with pain medication at the least. Absolutely lovely experience being able to stay with your pet the entire time at Veg, through surgery and hospitalization. But you also have to be present to watch a bunch of other parents lose their babies. Just always keep your eyes and ears open at this place. I had my credit card ready for $5.5K surgery, not knowing it was what it was. ($2,000 were gladly paid- needed the testing and X-rays that were done) (Our vet is the Low Cost Vet Mobile for 8 years now)

My dog was bleeding out and dying yesterday. When I arrived at the hospital I was told I have to wait for a few hours. Its hard to believe and understand why at the emergency place there was only one certified vet available. This place seems more to me like a school than a hospital. 1000 thousand assistants and one vet. Sadly dog was put to rest
