Carolina Ale House - Waverly

We went with another couple for dinner and to watch the NCAA tournament. When we got there, the TV's by our table were showing bowling and baseball. We asked for them to change to the game and were told that they would do so. 20 minutes, and 5 additional requests, later they finally did so. When I asked if they had Bud Light Lime, the server said yes. 5 minutes later she returned to say no they didn't? I then ordered a Corona. She asked if I wanted a draft or bottle. Since I've rarely ever seen it available on draft, I ordered one to take advantage of the opportunity. SEVERAL minutes later, I finally received a large mug of beer. However, as soon as I tasted it, I knew that it wasn't Corona. Since she had already left the table, I now had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes to let her know of the mistake. Again, I waited several more minutes before she brought me a bottle (no draft) of Corona. Then, 1 of our 4 entrees arrived at the table long before the other 3? And it was not prepared correctly. My friend had asked for no onions, but there were onions in it. Next, my wife's salad dressing was incorrect and she had a prolonged wait to get her correct dressing selection. So, after all of that, why would I still rate it as okay? The taste/quality of the food was good and, after explaining everything that had happened, the manager (Justin) thoroughly apologized and took quite a bit off of our total bill. He advised that the waitress was on her 3rd day working there and, due to overall staffing shortages, the hostess had oversat her section. He made sure that we were made whole for the frustrating experience and said to make sure to ask for him by name if we returned in the future and had any issues whatsoever.

This dinner was perfect!! The takeout was amazing and it was at a perfect temperature, when picked up from the restaurant. The customer service was also great! Buff chick dip was really tasty and the chicken was blackened perfectly!
