O2 Fitness Wake Forest - The Factory

We recently joined this gym. Loved everything about it. Very sad to hear it's closing at the Factory!!

Showers have been down for quite sometime and members have been leaving. I am at that point to do the same.

Place has really gone down hill in the last few years. Half the machines are broken, missing parts, or desperately need TLC. They need to lower the monthly cost for this specific location, as it's not even remotely up to par with their other sites.

The showers have been down for over a year now. This gym has a decent selection of equipment which is nice, however most if not all, of the equipment is beat up pretty bad. Even the dumbbells are falling apart. The layout of the gym is awful. The dumbbells and benches are separated from the weight machine area with cardio in between. So if you want to use a bench with any of the cable machines good luck with trekking that back and forth. Also, if your workout includes dumbbells and cables/machines - youre going to get annoyed pretty quick walking from end to end dodging and weaving all of the treadmills. There are even machines behind the cardio area, making the weights/machines essentially peppered across the entire place with cardio in the middle. One last thing, there are so many fans in this place its impossible to stay remotely warm while lifting. It feels like its 65 degrees. Its 95 degrees outside but yet there are people wearing hoodies inside to stay warm. For $60/mo this gym is WAY overpriced. You can pay about $30 more 10 min up the road at Life Time and get working showers, wet and dry sauna, pool, better equipment, etc. This gym is in a great location and has a lot of potential, just not managed well I suppose.
