Fireproof Apartments

Do not lease from Fireproof Apartments unless you can budget an additional $500 a month for your car window getting smashed in by the local vandals. Unfortunately Fireproof management has not installed any video cameras, hired any parking lot security, or installed brighter lights or gates in the parking lot and the residents here have our cars broken into on a nightly occurrence. Most residents have had their windows smashed in at least once a month, the vandals usually hit about 8 cars per night. We live downtown so some crime can be expected, but the lack of action from management is tough to swallow.

Do not lease from Fireproof Apartments. At first glance the building seems ideal given the location, affordable rent, and spacious units. However the lack of building and parking lot security is unacceptable and the frequent incidents of car break-ins has been met with no action from Fireproof management. Cars get broken into on a daily basis, windows smashed in, people loiter in the parking lot with no consequences. I have never lived in a building that has cared so little about their residents property and safety. Absolutely terrible.

The apartment is nice and in a great location. Whenever you have a maintenance request, they answer promptly. If you are looking for a place in the short north, I recommend checking it out.

Not worth it at all. For the price you pay, the food is not nearly good enough to justify cost. As a tapas restaurant I know it is small plate based, but the food came out and was subpar at best. The salmon and rice as well as the wagyu sliders  were not even warm at all. Our server rarely checked in on us and left us sitting for extended periods at a time when we asked for more water and our check. Will not be returning.
