update - 2/1/2024, I have spoken with Robert Ballance on the phone concerning his legal situation. He indicated to me that he was working on changing this review that he left. I spent about 30 minutes with Robby on the phone and it was a simple solution to his legal problem. He mentioned that he should have thought of it. I didn't charge him for my time. I'm still waiting on him to change this review. I explained to him at the time that people call, text, and email everyday for free legal advice. Many people assume that because they have legal problem that I am obligated to help them. This is not the case. If you have not paid me for my time, I am not obligated to help you. There's only so much of me to go around and I can't get back to everyone, and I can't give free advice all day. Abraham Lincoln said, "A lawyer's time and advice are his stock in trade."This means that time is my commodity. It is what I sell. And there's only so many hours in a day. So if you contact a lawyer, it is his or her time that you are paying for.And if a lawyer doesn't get back to you right away, do not go and leave a 1 star review. That is unprofessional, immature, selfish, and reflects the misunderstanding I stated above – simply because you have a legal problem doesn't mean that a lawyer is obligated to immediately deal with it. Lawyers have other clients and cannot take every case or legal problem that is presented to them. Call another attorney. Original response: Sorry Robby. I’ve reviewed my current clients and you are not a current client nor a past client for that matter. I have no record of your phone call either. If you did not receive a call back, please feel free to call again, send a text message or an email to [email protected] or contact another attorney if this in an emergency and you need to talk to an attorney right away. Unfortunately, sometimes I am in court or dealing with current client matters (who have already retained my services) and cannot get back to you right away.
